Men of the Mountains: A Program for Men Living With MS
Can Do MS is delivering a one-day, in-person program on June 8 in Denver, Colorado to address the specific needs and concerns of men living with MS. Hosted in the beautiful History Colorado Center, the Men With MS Program will discuss the complex and unique issue that MS brings to men living with the disease.
This an amazing opportunity for 50 men with MS and their support partners to come together, connect with an amazing team of MS experts, and engage with presentation topics that focus on the specific challenges they experience.
Mood and Cognitive Changes and Their Impact On Daily Life
Presenter TBD- Recognize how mood and cognitive changes may impact your daily home and work life while learning strategies for managing those changes.
Staying Active with MS
Presented by Alex Ng, PhD, FACSM - Learn how physical activity and exercise improve health, wellness, and quality of life as well as ways to help each other stay active.
Sex, Drugs and… Diet
Presented by Ben Thrower, MD - Review the potential use of cannabinoids for managing MS symptoms, how MS can affect male sexual function and strategies for dealing with any problems, and the link between diet and MS.
The program also includes a group workshop just for the support partners. All participants will receive complimentary entry to the History Colorado Center, lunch, and the opportunity to make life-long connections within their MS community.
