MS Global 2019, a seven-day annual charitable bicycle tour founded by former professional cyclist Tyler Hamilton to raise funds for families with multiple sclerosis (MS), will be held in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia from Sept. 14 to Sept. 22.

This weeklong cycling event benefits Can Do Multiple Sclerosis (Can Do MS), a national nonprofit that transforms lives by delivering health and wellness education programs to help families living with MS thrive.

“I’m beyond excited to bring MS Global to Cape Breton,” says Hamilton, who will participate as one of the tour’s ride leaders and also serves on the Can Do MS Board of Directors. “It’s one of Canada’s best-kept secrets with its incredible beauty and rich history. I couldn’t dream up a better location for our 2019 event.”

"This year, over 60,000 families living with MS will receive the health and wellness education programs only Can Do MS provides. Thanks to the support of MS Global Scholarships, every individual is able to attend at no cost to them. That’s why I’m thrilled to be hosting this incredible event – to enable more families with MS to experience these programs, regardless of financial ability.”

The MS Global 2019 team is made up of 35 fundraising riders, including 8 people with MS, who will bike over 315 miles, and raise more than $210,000 for Can Do MS. 100% of donations directly support MS educational initiatives.
