Annual Gala Raises Over $130,000
November 7th, 2016
Can Do MS "changed my life," said Joann Dickson-Smith during her speech at the Autumn Benefit on October 20th in New York City. She captivated the audience as she spoke of her struggles after being diagnosed with MS. It resulted in a chain of events that caused her to wonder if she could even go on.
That was her life until she participated in the Can Do MS program! Her life now is full of energy for daily living, and she is even able to participate in sports activities.
Bill Hamilton echoed the benefits of the program when he received the Can Do Award on behalf of MS Global. He said, "What motivates so many of our fundraisers is that they know they are making a difference in peoples' lives. It is this inspiration that has generated fundraising records in each of the three years we have partnered with Can Do MS and will cause MS Global to go higher next year."
During the night, over $130,000 was raised for Can Do MS educational programs! That means that Can Do MS will be able to serve even more people next year.
Thank you to all who joined us in New York to celebrate and support the great work that Can Do MS does for program participants.
